    Description

    The optic is a multiple lens, wide spectrum light collector, made by Melles-Griot (now part of IDEX Corp.), USA. It contains four lenses, to correct for spherical and chromatic aberrations. It is used to collect broad spectrum (white) light from powerful, incoherent light sources, for industrial and medical applications. The optic is mounted in a bracket allowing adjustment of its longitudinal position for best collecting performances. The original Melles-Griot P/N is 39750. Useful to collect light directly from short length (almost point) arc-discharged light sources or for optically coupling such sources to a fiber optic bundle. Intended for medical, industrial, or laboratory use.
